Vanessa Selbst is the highest-earning woman in tournament poker history and the only woman to reach number one in the Global Poker Index rankings. A Yale law graduate, she won three WSOP bracelets, including back-to-back $25,000 North American Poker Tour main events, and was famous for an aggressive style that bewildered opponents.
Selbst retired from full-time poker in 2018 to work in finance and philanthropy but remains one of the most influential players of the post-boom era.
