After you’ve opened all your presents, stuffed yourself silly with whatever holiday foods you enjoy, and recovered from your resulting food coma; you may be stuck for something to do. Luckily, partypoker is here to cure your post-holiday boredom with their fantastic Winter Edition Championship.
Tournament Schedule
Starting on Christmas Day and running until the 17th of January, there are dozens of tournaments to play, with over $5 million in guarantees to be won. They have buy-ins for every bankroll level, with tournament buy-ins as low as $1.10, all the way up to the $1050, $100K guaranteed Phase event.
There are 14 numbered events and dozens of 6-max, 7-max, and 8-max tournaments running throughout the series, so we won’t clog up your screen with a long list of every tournament. Instead, we’ll focus on the one everyone’s going to want to win – the $500K guaranteed, $530 Main Event. There are multiple Day 1s running throughout the Series, with Day 2 scheduled to start on the 16th of January. Day 2 will end once 16 players remain, and the final two tables will reconvene on the 17th to fight it out for what’s likely going to be a six-figure first-place prize.

Satellites
If you think that a $530 buy-in is just a little too steep for your bankroll, then don’t panic; you can satellite into the event for as little as $0.01! If you’d prefer not to rely so heavily on luck to win yourself a seat at one of the biggest tournaments of this holiday season, there will be $1.10, $5.50, and $22 qualifiers that start you a little bit closer to the event. Satellites for all the events will be running throughout the series, and they’re already running for the Main Event, so check them out and see if you can spin a cent into a Main Event ticket.
Tournament Types
One of the great things about the partypoker Championship is that there are lots of different event formats to choose from. You aren’t stuck with the classic 9-handed No Limit Hold’em freezeout; there are PLO events, such as the $30K guaranteed $109 Omaha Championship, PKO tournaments, such as the $150K guaranteed PKO Championship, and even PLO PKO events like the $30K guaranteed Omaha PKO Championship.
The events that run between the main scheduled events are just as varied, so no matter what kind of poker tournaments you’ll enjoy, there’ll be something for you to play at the partypoker Championship.
