The full schedule for WSOP 2022 has now been announced, and this 53rd edition of the long-running and best-loved live poker series in the world will see a change of venue, departing from the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, and taking up residence across two casinos, the Horseshoe (currently Bally’s) and Paris casinos, both on the Las Vegas strip.
WSOP 2022 will run from May 31st ‘til July 20th and feature 88 live and 14 online bracelet events.
Highlights of the series include an early High Roller Bounty, Event #2 with a $100,000 buy-in, and Event #5, The Housewarming No Limit Hold’em, a $500 buy-in with a huge $5 million guaranteed prize pool.
The Super High Roller $250,000 buy-in Event #50 will take place from June 23rd – 25th, there will be a Tag Team No Limit Hold’em $1,000 buy-in tournament, Event #55, and Event #68 looks quite special, named the Million Dollar Bounty No Limit Hold’em, it is a $1,000 buy-in but states that the Top Bounty will be $1 million!
The Main Event, Event #70, will run from July 3rd to July 16th, with its traditional $10,000 buy-in. The Main will feature six Day 1 starting flights held over the first three days of this period.
In other news, proof of Covid vaccination will not be required to attend the WSOP this year. That’s the current status of course, subject to possible change. Face masks are also planned as non-mandatory this time around.
The massive series will round out with the return of an old favourite, the Tournament of Champions.
As we all look forward to a year which hopefully feels a lot more normal, we’re looking forward to seeing you there at the WSOP 2022.
