High Stakes Poker Season 9 is set to blast off on Monday, February 21st at 8pm ET, featuring some of the biggest poker beasts of the highest magnitude, including Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, Patrik Antonius and Koray Aldemir, champion of this year’s World Series of Poker Main Event.
The game for episode 1 will be $200/400 No Limit Hold’em with a $100k minimum buy-in and is set to feature Doyle Brunson, though not expected for the season premiere, has been tipped as a guest in this year’s show, as have Daniel Negreanu, Doug Polk, Jennifer Harman and Jason Koon. This series is sure as ever to bring insane action, mammoth pots and to be pure poker adrenalin!
The show is also set to bring back the much-loved $50k bricks of real cash to the table, which were absent in more recent series. This season looks to be a return to the original values of the High Stakes Poker series, and fans are psyched for it!
