
Bernhard Binder, who is known in the poker world as the online player who recently won GGMillion$ Main Event for $1.8 million, is now the champion of the $25,000 WSOP Super Main Event. This is his first live recorded win, and surely the biggest score of his poker career.
Binder beat the field of 2,981 players, which generated a monstrous prize pool of $72,275,000 with $10,000,000 reserved for the champion, Binder. This was a five-day event with six starting days (4 on day 1 and 2 on day 2).
Binder lifted the trophy after a prolonged heads-up battle against 51-year-old Jean-Noel Thorel, who is currently ranked #1 in France’s all-time money list with $27,794,639 in live MTT earnings. Thorel won $6,000,000 for his second-place finish, which was also his most significant live MTT win.
